Creating a simple, short and informative video for your site is a great way to generate additional pagerank as well as traffic. If you make a video for a highly searched term and get traffic to your video, the pagerank will pass through to your site if you have hyperlinked it.

Youtube is owned by Google, and therefore any videos there show up high in Google’s search results. If you have a video posted there with a backlink to your site, this is very helpful traffic-wise as well as backlink-wise.

There are a number of tools you can use to create a video that can be as simple as a demo of your site taken with a screen capture application such as Cam Studio, a free application that allows you to produce simple video of your computer screen.
